“Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom.” – Viktor Frankl.

Chris Martin is a bi lingual FSP accredited Psychologist and Psychotherapist. Originally from the UK, with over 15 years of experience working with people in both the public and private sector of the healthcare system in Switzerland. I qualified  as a psychologist in Lausanne, specialising in Psychotherapy in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) in Geneva. Currently, I am further undertaking another post graduate degree in Positive Psychology that will help me support clients to find inner strength and move forward.

I work with children and families, as well as adults in individual settings to explore your thoughts, difficulties and moments in life, at a pace you’re comfortable with. This includes stresses at home or at work, difficulty in adapting to a new life style in a foreign country as well as the feelings (like anxiety, depression, burnout), thoughts (for example “I can’t do this”, “I’m not up to it”) and behaviours (such as disorders relating to sleeping, eating, & substance abuse) that can arise during these times.

At times, it can be valuable to work with someone who is totally independent of your life. My experience, humanity, and belief in personal growth allow me to apply my knowledge in the most challenging of situations, and help you develop coping strategies.

Recognised by the Public Health Service in Switzerland (Service de la santé publique) allow reimbursement of sessions with health insurance (under certain circumstances) as well as additional insurance (Assurances Complémentaires).

I am happy to discuss your concerns or issues, or my work by contacting me on 076 329 0340 or by e-mail.
